Are Your Central Corneal Thickness Measurements Accurate?

Peyman et. al. studied both repeatability and reproducibility for corneal thickness measurements by ophthalmic nurses when using the Pachpen™ handheld pachymeter. Data from two separate users were compared and showed a repeatability correlation value of 0.96 and reproducibility value of 5.08% (Peyman et. al.). Findings from the clinical paper show that the Pachpen™ (Accutome Inc., USA) gives exceptional intra-observer repeatability and inter-observer reproducibility despite training level (Peyman et. al.).
